In the medical institution “Kirovograd Children’s Regional Hospital”, which is the clinical base of the Donetsk National Medical University, third-year students who receive the specialty “Medicine” started the study of propaedeutics of pediatrics.

The hospital administration, headed by Chief Physician Vasily Khoroshchak provides the lecture hall and creates the necessary conditions for students to study clinical disciplines according to the agreement with the rector of the Dnipropetrovsk University, Peter Kondratenko. The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and medical equipment, so the training takes place at the highest level.

Clinical disciplines are studied by students from the third year, after the completion of the study of fundamental theoretical disciplines. The course of propedeutics of pediatrics is taught by doctors Natalia Shishkanova and Victoria Ivanova.

In particular, students began to study the anatomical and physiological features of the skin, subcutaneous tissue and lymph nodes in children. During classes in the classroom, future physicians learn and have some practical skills.

Clinical bases have already been established in other regional medical institutions.
